About this Event

Microdosing has exploded in popularity in recent years, with proponents claiming everything from creativity to enhanced cognitive ability. However, what does the science say about the effectiveness of microdosing? 

Dr Balázs Szigeti will present the new results from his study and explain his revolutionary methodology for studying illicit drugs. He will also share his findings on the effectiveness of microdosing.

Balazs Szigeti has earned a bachelor and masters in mathematical physics from Imperial College London. After this, he completed a PhD in computational neuroscience at the University of Edinburgh. Balazs is involved with the OpenWorm project, an open science project aimed to create accurate simulations of primitive nervous systems. Additionally, he worked as a biomedical software engineer at the Icahn Institute of Genetics in New York. Balazs has collaborated with the Global Drug Survey to quantitatively study drug use patterns and most recently he designed and led the self-blinding microdose study at the Centre for Psychedelic Research.
