WHO WE ARE
We are a group of healthcare professionals, doctors, therapists, psychologists, wellbeing practitioners, interested in researching and exploring the use of psychedelics in a helpful and supportive way for our patients and clients.
Our interest began in 2019 with an article in a Scottish counselling journal. This led to a group forming a journal club, reviewing the clinical research on psychedelics.
In 2020 Psychedelic Healthcare Network was formed as a collaboration to educate, inform, support and connect those interested in psychedelic experiences.
This led to presentations and talks to professional bodies and societies, articles in journals and the establishment of a weekly newsletter collating and updating relevant research.
It also led to the development of Certificate programme, which is now available for the general public through Psy Edu.
In 2021 we started to run retreats in the Netherlands, offering an experiential aspect to our psychedelic education. The retreats have been available to healthcare practitioners and participants who have an interest in the responsible use of psychedelics in healing and wellbeing.
In 2023 Psy Edu was formed as a separate company to develop more formal training programmes for a wider audience.

WHAT WE DO
Our organisation focuses on comprehensive engagement with the world of psychedelics. We dedicate ourselves to educating both healthcare professionals and the broader public, disseminating up-to-date research and information through a weekly newsletter, engaging lectures and talks, and accessible journal articles. We prioritise the safe and responsible exploration of psychedelics, offering experiential retreats in locations like the Netherlands and Portugal, alongside robust integration services to support individuals post-experience. We also provide specialised training for healthcare professionals, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary for ethical and effective practice.
Furthermore, we cultivate a thriving community for those interested in responsible psychedelic use. This is achieved through monthly orientation and integration meetings, a professional membership program, and active networking with leading psychedelic researchers. We forge strong partnerships with other organisations in the field, fostering collaboration and advancing the collective understanding and responsible application of psychedelic therapies.

OUR VISION
Imagine a future where psychedelics are no longer stigmatised, but rather recognised for their potential to enhance human health and wellbeing. In this world, responsible and safe use is paramount, guided by rigorous scientific research and ethical considerations. Psychedelic therapies are integrated into mainstream healthcare, offering new avenues for treating mental health conditions, fostering personal growth, and deepening self-understanding.
Access to these therapies is carefully managed, ensuring that they are available to individuals who stand to benefit most, while minimising potential risks. This is achieved through comprehensive screening, personalised treatment plans, and ongoing support. A culture of education and open dialogue surrounds psychedelic use, promoting informed decision-making and dispelling misconceptions. This vision envisions a society where psychedelics are harnessed responsibly, contributing to a healthier and more fulfilling life for many.
