Psilocybin-assisted group therapy: A new hope ...
This is a free full text commentary on the recent (also free full text) Anderson et al paper "Psilocybin-assisted group therapy for demoralized older long-term AIDS survivor men" which has been described too in Psychedelic Science Review. The study contributes to a potentially really important development - the rigorous exploration & testing of ways to make psychedelic-assisted therapies more widely available by providing them in group therapy formats. Obviously group environments have already been the major way of providing ayahuasca in traditional, indigenous settings and in some syncretic churchs. To explore other group therapy based methods of delivery is exciting & potentially very worthwhile.
