Join our monthly Psychedelic Journal Club for engaging discussions on the latest research in this rapidly evolving field. This is an opportunity to connect with other professionals, share insights, and expand your knowledge.
Monthly Zoom Meetings: We meet online for two hours, typically from 7:30 to 9:30 PM on a weekday evening.
Small Group Format: To foster in-depth discussion, we'll divide into smaller groups of 3-4 people to explore the article in detail.
Shared Responsibility: Participants take turns selecting and introducing a recent journal article of interest.
Active Participation: We encourage everyone to read the chosen article before each meeting.
ABOUT THE JOURNAL CLUB
Our Psychedelic Journal Club meets monthly on Zoom, typically from 7:30 to 9:30 PM on a weekday evening. The group size ranges from six to twelve participants, allowing for intimate and engaging discussions.
MEETING STRUCTURE
The structure of our meetings is designed to maximize engagement and foster deep discussions:
Article Selection: Each month, a different participant will select and introduce a recent journal article that has piqued their interest. PHP's free weekly newsletter is one recommended source for these articles.
Preparation: All participants are expected to read the selected article before the meeting. This ensures that everyone is prepared to contribute meaningfully to the discussion.
Small Group Discussions: After the introduction of the paper, we will break into smaller groups of 3 or 4. This allows for more focused and detailed conversations about the article. We may agree on specific questions or themes to consider during these discussions.
Full Group Discussion: After the small group discussions, we will reconvene as a full group to share insights, discuss the implications of the research, and explore how it may impact our understanding or practice.
COMMITMENT AND PARTICIPATION
There is currently no charge to join one of our Journal Club groups. However, we ask participants to commit to attending for at least six months. This commitment helps ensure continuity and allows for deeper, ongoing discussions. After six months, we may reshuffle the groups, with some participants leaving, others joining, and possibly switching between groups if we have multiple Journal Clubs meeting on different evenings.
