LSD and Psilocybin May Alleviate Cluster Headaches

Cluster headaches - otherwise known informally as suicide headaches due to the significantly increased suicide rates associated with the condition - are one of the most excruciatingly painful conditions known to medicine There is currently no widely available and effective treatment.

Now researchers at three institutions: Yale University, the Rigshospitalet (Denmark's most highly specialised hospital), and the University of Basel are undertaking trials to see if cluster headaches may join the list of conditions for which psychedelics may offer a breakthrough treatment.
