SUMMER PSILOCYBIN RETREAT: THE RHYTHMS OF NATURE
Monday 8th - Saturday 13th JUNE 2026
Gelderland, Netherlands
THE RETREAT
At the Psychedelic Health Professionals Network, we hold a compassionate intention at the heart of everything we do: to create spaces where people feel safe enough to open, explore and meaningfully transform. Rooted in trauma-sensitive, evidence-based practice, our retreats weave together contemplative work, psilocybin ceremonies, somatic process and connection with nature in ways that support inner safeness, courage and authentic growth.
Rhythms of Nature extends this ethos into the season of midsummer. Taking place as the year turns toward the summer solstice—a natural moment of expansion and illumination—this retreat invites you to explore what is ripening within you. Early summer offers a unique energetic landscape: longer days, fuller light, and a sense of spaciousness that mirrors the inner possibilities often revealed through psychedelic and contemplative work.
Set in the quiet Dutch countryside, this retreat draws on the principles of Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) to cultivate an atmosphere of care, grounding and openness—conditions that support the wisdom that can emerge when we align with both our internal rhythms and the rhythms of the natural world.
Here, self-discovery unfolds through psilocybin ceremonies, meditation, breathwork, somatic movement, creative expression and intentional time in nature. As the land reaches its full bloom, you’ll be guided to listen for what is coming alive within you—what wants attention, what seeks release, and what is ready to grow into its next form.
INTEGRATING THE COMPASSION FOCUSED APPROACH
The Compassion Focused approach offers an evolutionary and neurobiological framework that beautifully complements psychedelic-facilitated self-exploration. This helps shift us out of the threat and drive systems - where pressure, striving and self-criticism can take hold - and into the soothing system, where the body can settle and the mind can soften.
Under psilocybin, automatic patterns and inner narratives often quieten, allowing deeper emotional material to surface. This approach provides a compassionate, stabilising lens through which to meet whatever arises - encouraging an attitude of “this is not my fault”, and supporting you to approach your inner world with warmth, clarity and courage rather than avoidance or judgement.
This approach also shapes the relational atmosphere of the retreat: a space where the three flows of compassion - for self, for others, and receiving compassion—can naturally emerge. In midsummer’s expansive energy, this work can bring a sense of integration, vitality and connection that extends far beyond the retreat.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We welcome participants from all identities, backgrounds, neurotypes and levels of experience. Throughout the retreat, you’ll be invited to attune to your inner landscape while grounding in practices that support safeness, embodiment and connection:
Two psilocybin ceremonies held by trained facilitators who offer presence, attunement and compassionate containment.
Breathwork to regulate the nervous system and support grounding into the body.
Somatic movement and conscious dance to release survival tension and reconnect with vitality and joy.
Creative expression through art, offering access to insight, playfulness and emotional depth.
Nature immersion, aligned with the energy of the summer solstice and the cycle of growth.
Meditation and compassion-focused practices to strengthen grounding, courage and inner wisdom.
Group sizes are intentionally small, with a high facilitator-to-participant ratio to maintain an attuned, personalised and supportive environment.
A careful screening process ensures that this retreat is safe and appropriate for you.
Please note that this is not a therapy group or a replacement for one-to-one psychological work for those requiring more intensive support.

You will then be contacted by one of our screening team and, if appropriate, a screening video call will be set up. Preparation and integration are key aspects of the psychedelic experience, and we have developed our approach to this informed by our experiences facilitating group therapeutic processes, aiming to create a sense of group cohesion.
Prior to arrival, everyone will be assigned to a small ‘pod’ of about 4 participants, with each pod having 1 facilitator (typically a 1:4 ratio) who will be working with them on the retreat. As part of their preparation, participants will have a 1:1 video call and, usually, a small group video call with their pod facilitator before the retreat. During the call, they will have the opportunity to get to know each other, talk through personal intentions and receive more practical details about the retreat.
Following the retreat, there is an additional 1:1 and pod video call with their facilitator. An online meet-up for the whole group is also provided. For those who wish to keep in contact, the option of continuing to meet thereafter in a peer support format is available. The group will also be able to connect via WhatsApp and will have access to PHP’s network-wide monthly integration group.

Additionally, the centre features charming ‘tiny houses,’ which guests love for their peaceful, cozy atmosphere - offering a unique and restful experience. Toilets and showers are conveniently located near all rooms.
Each retreat participant will have their own private room, and we will take all accommodation needs into consideration.
The ceremony space is a traditional Finnish Kota, designed for comfort and transformation. It features soft lighting, underfloor heating and an inviting atmosphere. Set amidst mature trees and overlooking a serene pond, it provides a truly special setting for deep inner work.
