PSYCHEDELIC RETREATS PROGRAMME

Our retreats are held in locations where psilocybin truffles and mushrooms are legal. Our retreat centres are in beautiful natural surroundings in countryside settings, and offer a sense of relaxation and safety. We provide a nurturing, caring and supportive environment where you can explore the potential of psychedelic experiences in an optimal ‘set and setting’. A comprehensive screening process ensures participant safety and suitability. Being part of a well held group can also help bring a sense of social connection and shared experience.

APPLICATION PROCESS

The application process involves completing a comprehensive health screening questionnaire covering personal, medical, and psychological history. This helps us to ensure that you are physically and emotionally ready for this experience, and that there are no undesirable complications, or adverse reactions with other medication.

Your psychological and physical safety is our priority. Our trained Facilitators then arrange an individual video screening call. For most people our retreats are safe and without risk. However, there are some psychiatric conditions that would not be recommended.  Specifically, if you have been diagnosed with psychosis, mania, personality disorder, schizophrenia, self harm or dissociative disorders.

PREPARATION

Once you have completed the screening process and been accepted your preparation begins; The lead Facilitator will allocate you to a small group or pod; Our ratio of Facilitator to participant is 1-4. As part of your preparation for the experience, you will receive an Orientation and Integration booklet which gives you relevant information on ‘Set and Setting and Substance’ - your mindset, or mental attitude coming into the retreat;  the surroundings that we carefully curate for the experience and the type and quality of the  Substance - psychedelic that you will be taking. As well as a guide to what may happen in the trip itself.

Prior to the retreat, there is a one to one video call with your pod facilitator, where you can discuss personal intentions and queries. There is also a video call with your small group or pod  to get to know each other and get some practical information. Preparation for the retreat is key, and time spent individually and with your facilitator helps ensure that you get the most out of the retreat experience.

THE EXPERIENCE

The Psilocybin retreats involve two psychedelic experiences; participants take an initial moderate dose of psilocybin truffles. Followed a couple of days later, by a higher dose. There are several types of retreat that we offer;

  • The Standard Format - suitable for beginners, to more experienced practitioners; you are guided through a research informed and designed psychedelic journey;  Lying comfortably, your eyes gently covered, you are guided through a curated music playlist to experience the full potential of psychedelics, in a safe and supported environment.

  • The Meditation Format -  influenced by Swiss research (Vollenweider’s Psilocybin and Zen meditation research project), more beneficial for those with an established meditation practice. This experience is more likely to be silent where you are encouraged to meditate, and then move mindfully for the duration of the experience.

  • Therapist Training Retreats - an opportunity to experience psychedelics for themselves, with careful supervision - to gain experience of supporting others on these healing journeys.

  • The Nature Retreats - a blend of the standard format, the meditation retreat and time spent in the natural surroundings of the retreat centre.eparation for the retreat is key, and time spent individually and with your facilitator helps ensure that you get the most out of the retreat experience.

INTEGRATION

During the retreat there are a number of integration activities that start the process;  The schedule includes Journalling, Art work, time in nature, breathwork and meditation.

One to one meetings with facilitators after the retreat is also available, as well as pod meetings, and a chance to keep in touch with a group chat post retreat.

Monthly Orientation and Integration meetings are also part of the retreat experience, and we would encourage you to attend and stay connected.

CONNECTION

PHP network fosters connection among participants through online groups, video meet-ups, and the opportunity to continue communication within their assigned pods.

There’s an option for continued online peer support group interaction.
